Ogre is a monster found in the fifth Hero and Monster Collection set, Visions of Dawn. It was first found in the Second Edition Conversion Kit.

Description

Large and lumbering creatures, ogres are capable of hurling heroes through the air with the force of their blows. It is rumored that the mightiest ogres can rapidly recover from even the most grievous wounds.

Always eager for their next crime, ogres tend to carve out territory near small villages or deserted roads, where they can isolate potential prey. Once an ogre has cornered its victim, only a mighty warrior can hold out long against the ogre’s staggering blows. Even those who survive rarely do so in one piece.

Abilities

  • Knockback: Remove the target from the map, then place him on any empty space within 3 spaces of his original space. He counts as entering that space.
  • Fleshmonger: Fleshmonger: Each time a hero whose hero token is not on this card suffers 1 or more   from an attack performed by this monster, place 1 of his hero tokens on this card. For each hero token on this card, this monster applies +2 to its health. When this monster is defeated, discard all hero tokens from this card.

Trivia

  • Ogres first appeared in the base game from Descent: Journeys in the Dark (first edition).
  • Ogres in the Conversion Kit had the ability "Undying" instead of "Fleshmonger."
