Shade is a monster found in the Shards of Everdark Hero and Monster Collection. There is also a version of this monster in the Conversion Kit.

Description

Whether lost souls desperate to secure their rest or the lingering energy of powerful magicians, these spirits are mere shadows of the lives they once lived. However, should they linger long enough or find purchase on a source of dark power, these shades evolve into more formidable foes. Slay them quickly–or suffer their wrath.

Abilities

  • Soul Shackle X: Each time a hero within 3 spaces of this monster recovers 1 or more Fatigue, this monster may suffer X Heart to reduce the amount of Fatigue recovered by X (to a minimum of 0).
  • Flicker: Choose 1 hero within 3 spaces of this monster. Remove this monster from the map and place it adjacent to that hero. Then, if this monster has not performed an attack this activation, that hero tests Awareness. If he fails, perform an attack with this monster that targets that hero.
  • Pierce X: This attack ignores X Shield rolled on the defense dice.
