==Description==<br />
Bane spiders are gigantic arachnids that spit poisonous blood. Some bane spiders, marked with a red hourglass on their back, also hurl sticky webs at their prey.<br />

Bane spiders rely on their ability to spit gobs of sticky, acidic venom into the eyes and wounds of their prey when hunting. The matron of the cluster is especially dangerous. After ensnaring a careless adventurer in her cocoon, she and other bane spiders pull the hero into the shadows and douse him in foul poison. Stronger than their [[Cave Spider]] cousins, bane spiders can harry a party of heroes to destruction.<br />
